1974 Triumph TR6 2.5 Manual Restoration Project

First registered in September 1974, this Triumph TR6, presented in magenta and having covered 79,162 miles, the car will require a full restoration.

Having acquired the car in November 1985, the current owner left it parked in his garage not long after purchase where it has sat until this year, when he decided to recommission the car. On inspection, it was decided that more investigation was necessary and he authorised for for the car to be stripped down to inspect the chassis where it was found to require more work than previously estimated. He then decided to go no further and asked us to sell the car on his behalf.

The car is now stripped down and all the parts are boxed, the body has been removed from the chassis and placed back on the car for storage.

The body and chassis both need welding repairs and work will need to be carried out to the sills, floor, bulkhead and wheel arches. ( please see photos ).

The engine had low compression so this will require work to recommission it and the gearbox and rear diff will also require inspection.

There is a file comprising some service history and old MOT certificates.

This will make a great project for someone to restore this great British classic back to its former glory

The car is available to view by appointment at our facility in Coolham, West Sussex.
